Spring season will be upon us before we know it.  We had a GREAT fall season with two U10 teams, one U12 team and one U18 team.  This spring we are looking to field two U10 teams, two U12 teams, a U15 team and a U18 team. 
     After the regular Spring 2009 season, Mars Fastpitch formed a couple of Tournament Teams that traveled around to play in some local tournaments.  It was a great experience for the girls and coaches alike.  After the tournaments, many of our players rolled right into the fall season and with all of that practice we should have some pretty tough teams this Spring.
     Our U10 and U12 teams competed in a mini tournament hosted by Mars Fastpitch for Adams Township Community Day.  Both of our teams walked away with the trophies that Adams Township provided.  The girls had an excellent time; they played hard to ensure that the trophies stayed at home.  All participants were given a free tee-shirt, drinks and food.  Many girls and their families stayed for the fireworks that evening.  We will probably do this again next year seeing how much fun it was.  There were about seventy players along with all the families from Saxonburg, Cranberry and Richland that celebrated Community Day at our park.

     A couple of things to know before heading into the Spring season:

Registration will be held on three dates :
Jan. 13th 7:30-8:30 pm at Adams Township Community Building

Jan. 16th 10:00am-2:00pm at Middlesex Township Building

Feb. 10th 7:30-8:30pm at Adams Township Community Building 

     Pictures will be held after all of the girls receive their new uniforms, we will work with the photographer to set this up early in the season.  A picture form will be added to the website for your review.  It will be nice for the girls to have these to look back on as they grow older.
     We will also be doing another fundraiser this Spring to help offset the cost of new equipment, uniforms and field supplies.  Last year we sold raffle tickets for a signed Sydney Crosby jersey which was a huge success.  We believe we can get another signed jersey to raffle this year.  Your help in selling these tickets goes a long way into ensuring that our league will continue to grow in the right direction.
